A palm tree charter

We spotted this guy in front of the Beach Bar loading his little boat with palm trees the other day. How can you not ask about that.
Turns out he grows seedlings on St. John. He is also friends with Ivan, who is sprucing up his bar and campground for high season and was in need of some plants. And so off this guy was going to Jost van Dyke with his palms.
And that’s a true story….true, it’s true!

Ivan needs more shade from palm trees because some people don’t want to be lion in the sun.

Maybe some one could talk him into taking one of those palm trees and planting it on Sandy Spit to replace the one that got washed away.
Just a thought.

I think that was an excuse just to go kick back and chill at Ivan’s for the day!

Really enjoying your blog. We are looking to rent a villa on Chocolate Hole called Cliffside Terrace and wonder if anyone has stayed in this villa? Also looking for any good windsurfing on the island. Thanks MK

We stayed at Cliffside a number of years ago. You will absolutely LOVE it. The pool, the hot tub, the spacious living space and the comfortable kitchen. Harrowing driveway, but what else is new, right?

THanks Susan, I appreciate your help. We ended up booking with Mampoo Hill on Devers Bay. Love to be on the water.
