Don’t fall back

Some things never change on St. John. The time is one of them. While mainland USA falls back this weekend, ending Daylight Saving Time, the Virgin Islands sticks to Atlantic Standard Time, putting the islands an hour ahead of the east coast for the next six months.
Double check your flight times. Now it takes four hours to fly to St. John. But only two hours to fly to the states. Sort of.

When you are that close to the equator, why change the time? Here, in Wisconsin, we need it. We’re all sick and tired of leaving for work or school in the dark. But dang, we trade that off for coming home after work or school in the dark. Winter equals dark, 70% of each day.

Is the clock at the dock finally working? Looks as though one of the holiday balls lost its air. I do like the Rasta colors though.
