I would love to be there for the holidays!
Where did they find a Christmas tree?
Happy Holidays!

It’s left over from an old display from one of the Disney theme parks. That is where we get the tapes of the tree frogs who make that fabulous sound especially after rain.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! Santa, bands, children, Caneel boat decorated…so much fun.

I echo Debbie’s words (and thoughts)
“I would love to be there for the holidays!
Where did they find a Christmas tree?
Happy Holidays!”

We’re decorating our tree today as well… ‘cept we have snow blowing around outside…really wish it was beach sand instead….
“All I want for Christmas is a real good tan,
take me to the Islands put my feet in the sand,
rockin’ to and fro with the rhythm of the ocean.
singin Silent Night with the palm trees blowin’..”

I thought I heard that there is something else on St. John that is from a Disney theme park – what is it? I’m thinking it was something at the Lime Inn?
My husband is a Disney Fanatic and I wanted to add to his trivia…

The other Disney item is in fact at the Lime Inn. It is the large tree in the middle of the bar which was originally in the Jungle park or something. They even have it rigged so the occasioanl leaf falls off.

I heard that the 67% of the island that’s national park now was originally developed as a theme park by Disney (and later abandoned). I hear they planted most of the trees, created the “ruins” and imported sand for the beaches from Florida. Not sure if it’s true, but somehow it all just seems too beautiful to be real.
