Why turquoise chairs?

You’ll see new beach chairs on your next visit to Jost van Dyke. Turquoise beach chairs.  And there is a very good reason.

We cornered Soggy Dollar Bar owner Jerry O’Connell about this change, and after much prodding he finally gave us the in-depth scoop on the change in beach decor.   It was a very enlightening conversation.

“The store was out of white chairs.”

Wow! That is great! I have the same chairs in my backyard paradise in New Jersey. They also come in hot pink. Jeff, you should open up a site for paradise pictures (St. John want-a-be’s)in their own backyard. – only a suggestion to see how creative and accurate we get to the real thing. Happy New Years!

Never really notice the beach chairs from lying in those great hammocks. Very nice touch. Which store? Could use a couple @ Island Blues!

“That chair was my bed one New Year’s night,
when I passed out from too much Soggy and diet, and I woke up to a hundred mosquito bites. I swear.
Got ‘em all sittin’ right there, in that turquoise chair.”
