The Tropical Windchill

It’s not a below-zero windchill, but 75 degrees at 5 o’clock in the afternoon is chilly by St. John standards. And it was dark and rainy all day long.
Serious, steady rain.
A good day to invent a cocktail.
After an entire day of trial and error, we present “The Tropical Windchill.”
Equal parts coconut rum and banana rum, orange juice and a just a splash of cranberry juice.
Rainy days aren’t bad!

Good to see you found a way to survive the horrible weather…that sounds like one of those drinks, where after 5 or 6 you mumble….”I can hardly taste the alcohol” just before you fall off your bar stool…

Sounds Yummy! I feel real bad for you, we are suffering with 20 degrees here in New Jersey. I think you should make up a new rainy day game – OSJ drink flashcards. So you can sorta play go fish and make a new drink up every time you take a turn with the other players see who can outlast who. You may end up having an adult sleep over.
Happy New Year!

Having worked on this all day how can we be sure that it really tastes great? No way to tell without trying it? OK-It’s on my new years eve menu! Thanks and Happy New Year!

I think we’ll make one of these here in Woodstock, NY and pretend it’s not 22 and snowing – much better than yesterday’s high of 18 with gusts of wind that brought the wind chill to 10 below zero! I moved down here from the Adirondcks for the tropical weather-guess I should have kept going till I reached St. John!

OK Guys, this is one heck of a drink. 20 degrees in Missouri as I write this…and temps falling into the single digits. THIS drink will keep through until spring. As good as it is, I have 6 hours to midnight….not gonna make it.

It’s chilly again hhere tonight.
All those Jost Van Dyke party-goers will really feel the windchill if it rains again this New Year’s Eve.
Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Umm, 75 degrees of separation from feeling sorry for you! Points for constructive use of time!
