Coming soon: Iguana Grill

The Governor’s campaign headquarters has moved out of the old Subway location and a new restaurant is moving in.
“Iguana Grill” will be the second restaurant for owners Courtney and Nile Wright, who opened Cactus on the Blue in late-2009. Nile and Courtney will run their newest restaurant with partner Ric Ortiz, their former manager at Cactus.
“We’re going to serve specialty burgers, fries, onion rings…things like that,” Courtney says. “We’re very excited to have acquired this location.”
We’re all for a place that serves up good onion rings.
The renovation is underway right now. Look for Iguana Grill to open sometime toward the end of March.

Grilled of course… Duh!

Mark, I think they will serve them out on the porch as it would be unsanitary to admit lizards into a resturant. I guess their favorite meal would be a lettuce wrap….

If the iguanas are just going to be eating fries and onion rings their cholesterol levels will go through the roof!!! Hopefully they’ll heed Calibert’s advice and eat plenty of lettuce…

It’ll be hard to cross the street from our favorite Woody’s mahi sandwich but a side of onion rings sounds good!

I’m glad to see something moving in there finally! We often dreamed of putting a little taste of home in that spot – a Chicago hot dog stand! A place with onion rings will be just as good… well, almost.

That’s a pretty sweet location, and with Iguana and onion rings on the menu it’ll offer a unique option for anyone who’s bored with all the other great eateries in Cruz Bay!

I guess Todd and Chad TOTALLY dismissed my genius idea about taking over that location and opening “Woody’s Too”. There goes my job as the wobbly crossing guard who works for beer and rum punch.

I was told they have been giving the Iguanas on St John Viagra — it seems they had ‘ a reptile dysfunction’

No wories about Woody’s. Always a good neighbor to the other establishments on the block, Woody’s shark bites are unique and it’s happy hour is world famous. Good luck to Iguana and please don’t take down the no parking sign with the bad grammar.
