Woody’s Block Party raises $19K
Woody’s Block Party fundraiser for February’s Save Second Base American Cancer Society Relay for Life raised $18,777.
“An extra thanks to St. John Brewers and Castaways, for all their help with the event,” says Woody’s co-owner Todd Beaty. “And especially to the bartenders and waiters, who donated all of their tips to the cause. Here’s the saving second base.”
Last February’s Relay for Life raised well over $140,000 for breast cancer research, an amazing sum for a tiny island. Woody’s kickoff gets next year’s relay off to a pretty good start already.
