Lunch of the Week: JJ’s Texas Coast

Here’s some “solve the problem” creativity by a St. John waitress. I wanted the grilled chicken caesar at JJ’s Texas Coast.
“I’m really sorry, but we’re out of chicken breasts right now,” she says. “How about a caesar with chicken fingers? We have that.”
So, a caesar with crunchy chicken fingers, cut up even, for $14.
And a JJ’s signature, two beef enchiladas, refried beans and rice for $14.
There’s a new “JJ’s Burger Bonanza” menu at JJ’s too. About 10 different burger combinations with everything from mango salsa to caper sauce to radishes.

mmmmmmmmmmm…JJ’s. What fond memories we have of that place before our luck went all to hell. We’ll always have 2006 and the day, while walking through town, we saw our beers on our table before we even got there…

Bet you won’t find any Asparagus Burgers on that menu….not for a mere $14.00 anyway…..but I’ll have one of those salads, thank you!
