Beach Break: Salomon Beach

Salomon Beach is one of the greatest beaches on St. John. You can take a short hike from town to get there, or make it a dinghy stop. And, because you can’t drive there, it’s never crowded.

Take a minute or two to soak in Salomon, below…

This is my favorite beach, so quiet and peaceful. I can’t wait for Feb 18 to be down island, relaxing in the warm sun with a cold rum drink in my hand, in toes in the sand…Ahhhhhh

There are two ways to get there – both are about a 20-30 minute walk. You can park at Caneel (charge for parking – refundable if you buy something) and walk towards Honeymoon Beach and then up and over the hill to Solomon or you can walk from town on the Lind Point Trail – The entrance is behind the Park Office. More about the trail here: http://www.seestjohn.com/trails_lind_point.html

Pretty as ever, and still often quiet enough for a skinny dip.
